Energy independence

True energy independence requires responsible development in fossil fuels and renewable energy alike. "Responsible" should mean that we are accountable to our environment, our citizens, and our workers by actually enforcing the laws and standards that our communities have demanded. We must respect the exclusion of certain environmentally sensitive areas from development. The jobs created by energy development are not only in the development itself, but also in the "Responsibility Industry" as we look to solve and prevent problems that could otherwise threaten our citizens and environment.

Keystone Pipeline

The Keystone Pipeline can be a tremendous boon to jobs in our district if US steel and labor are used to put it together.
